Dr. Bill Johnson, CEO

Dr. Johnson grew up in the Hudson Valley of New York and returned there to practice in 1986. In 1989 he purchased Pittsfield Veterinary Clinic in Edmeston, NY and grew it by mergers, acquisitions and startups to the Leatherstocking Veterinary Group. The group currently operates 4 small animal clinics, a large animal ambulatory service and hospital and an equine breeding facility. He is passionate about veterinary business management and keeping veterinary clinics in the hands of independent practitioners. He believes that the independent veterinarian is the best provider of services to our pets and farm animals. Dr. Johnson resides in Edmeston with his wife Lisa. They have 3 adult children.
Charlene Forsythe, Finance and HR Consultant
Charlene grew up in Laurens and has lived in Otsego County her entire life. She graduated Delaware Valley College with a BS in Large Animal Science, concentration in Equine Studies and minor in Business Administration. After this, she attended and graduated from SUNY Oneonta with a BS in Accounting and obtained her New York State CPA license the next year. During her time at SUNY Oneonta, she interned in the Internal Audit department at an Insurance Company. While finishing her final year, she was hired by a local auditing and accounting company as a staff accountant. Recently, she has obtained her QuickBooks Pro-Advisor-Online certifications and is actively working towards her Pro-Advisor Advanced Certification, as well as her QuickBooks Desktop and Society for Human Resources Certified Professional certifications. When she isn’t working she is involved with a local American Legion Auxiliary and the local Kennel Club. She loves hiking with her beagle Daisy and husband, reading, and participating in training with Daisy.
Kim Marble, Operations Manager
Kim currently lives in Mt.Vision with her family and has been with us since 2012. Bringing over 30 years of management experience to our group, she knows the ins and outs of the daily operations to keep a clinic running smoothly. She can consult on various duties including financial reporting, accounts receivable, inventory, budgeting, setting fees, client service and communication, education, interaction, and all aspects of staffing. With her help, your veterinarians can focus solely on practicing medicine rather than the many details of running a business. Kim never stops trying to improve her skills as she is currently enrolled in the Certified Veterinary Practice Manager Program. When Kim is not working, she enjoys spending time at her camp on Lake Ontario, spending time with her friends, and her grandchildren.
Cheryl Bullis, Administrative Assistant & Bookkeeper
Cheryl grew up in Otego and has Associates of Applied Science degrees in both Accounting and Business Management earned from SUNY Morrisville. She came from a dairy farm background and previous partnered on a small dairy. She loves animals but currently has only one special needs cat. When Cheryl isn’t working crunching numbers, she enjoys vegetable gardening, preserving her harvest, and doing word puzzles and jigsaw puzzles during the winter months.
